"V FOR VENDETTA" CONTINUES HOLLYWOOD’S ANTI-CHRISTIAN CRUSADE

"The message of ‘V for Vendetta’ could not be clearer," said Don Feder, president of Jews Against Anti-Christian Defamation. "Those involved in this cinematic hate crime are saying Christians want to establish a totalitarian state and impose their morality with a policeman’s truncheon."

"V" is set in Britain, circa 2020 - a nation ruled by a right-wing Christian dictatorship, a la "1984."

Said Feder: "It hard to imagine what else the movie could have done to tie a loathsome regime to Christianity. The state’s slogan is ‘Strength Through Unity; Unity Through Faith.’ Its symbol is a stylized cross. Its enforcers are a quasi-religious police. One of the leaders is an Anglican bishop, who’s also a pedophile."

In "V," Homosexuals are imprisoned and murdered. Torture is a routine instrument of state policy and freedom is non-existent.

Feder commented. "’V’ is saying that Christians want to seize power, suppress civil liberties, exterminate homosexuals, and rule by brute force."

Feder continued, "While ‘V’ certainly pushes the envelope, it’s very much in keeping with what has become Hollywood’s standard, anti-Christian message - that Christians are hypocritical hate-mongers, with tendencies toward violence, who are waiting to seize the reins of government and persecute unbelievers."

"No such Christian dictatorship exists anywhere on earth," Feder noted.

"On the other hand, there are no shortage of Islamic theocracies and quasi-theocracies where ‘infidels’ are persecuted, homosexuality is outlawed and women stoned to death for adultery. Why isn’t Hollywood making movies about them? Because it fears reprisals? Christianity is the only religion Hollywood can mock and slander with impunity."

Jews Against Anti-Christian Defamation was organized to combat anti-Christian prejudice in Hollywood, the news media and the courts, as well as from activist organizations like the ACLU and Anti-Defamation League. Its latest full-page ad (which has run in both Human Events and The Washington Times national edition) may be viewed online at www.jews4fairness.org.
